Black Lotus - Eau de Parfum

i have the sample pack and decided to revisit this because I wasn't sure if I liked black lotus or ylang ylang espresso more. to my surprise, I chose black lotus. the staying power is better and it reminds me of shaghaf oud, like a sweet chocolate scent in the dry down. i will be purchasing this in the near future.

smells like bug spray

I wanted to like this perfume so bad. I love strong, grown woman fragrances. For example, the Ylang-Ylang Espresso is one of my favorite fall/winter fragrances. I received a sample of the Black Lotus and I keep trying to wear to see if it grows on me. It smells just like bug spray on me. And not the light smelling kind you might wear at a BBQ. It smells like the intense one you wear when you are going hunting or camping.

Putrid

Disgusting. Anyone who says this smells good is lying. It smells like chemicals. I got this in the sample book and this was one of the worst perfumes I have ever smelled.

Smells like Insect Repellant

I would give this zero stars if I could. In fairness, I'm sure it's just my body chemistry, but this smells exactly like the "OFF" insect repellant when I spray it on me. It's the only perfume I've ever smelled whose scent actually makes me gag because of the scent (as opposed to just being too strong or something like that). Based on the reviews, this obviously works well for some others, but the smell is just terrible on me.

It’s a no for me

This ALMOST smells like Tom Fords Black Orchid except I just don’t like this one. It’s MUCH stronger & unlike TF which dries down to a nice sweet floral scent this one just stays smelling overwhelmingly strong. So glad I got a sample instead of buying the travel size even.

Scent

It’s quite feminine for blokes but still warm and dark.

Powerful & Sexy

Black Lotus is a fragrance for a confident woman who likes unisex or even masculine perfume. It is a spicy, woody fragrance with a dominant leather accord and a noticeable rose and cherry in the notes. Black Lotus is an intense and sexy scent, perfect for Winter and of course suitable for a man. I share it with my partner who enjoys it very much.

risky and dark

Fabulous. I wanted something to remind me of black orchid by TM. Now , I wasn’t looking for a dupe, and this surely is not one, but it is it’s favorite cousin! It reminds me of TM but still has its own sexy, unique darkness to it. It lasts all day on me, and I find it in my rotation the most when I want to uplift my mood. Yes, believe it or not, it’s not just those dang citrus type of scents that do that people. Personally not my thang. Im a warm/ floral lover. To give you an example, I like TM black orchid, Mugler Alien, Nirvana as reference for those who may lean on those, you will forsure love this. My only complaint ( and it is a small one) the cap of the bottle. Very cheap. The only fix that is a must for this brand to make sure perfume stays tip top. Give a new brand some love, take risks more, and enjoy the ride!

Delightful

Love, love, love this perfume. I'd had it in a discovery set and had been wanting to buy the full sized for ages. It is very strong and very incense and rose laden, so it may not be for everyone, but for an autumn/winter perfume, it's perfect. It's pretty powerful, so inly need 1 to 2 sprays

Floral Street Black Lotus

A beautiful stand-out, fairly strong fragrance, ideal for evenings out and special occasions in my opinion. Despatched very promptly and efficiently by Feel Unique!

Different but lovely

I am so pleased I tried this fragrance. I definitely think it leans more to the feminine side. Beautiful floral without being heady. Have got so many compliments wearing this

Unique and powerful

I didn't understand it at first, but after using it for a while I think it's a great addition to a perfume collection for those who want to go beyond the ordinary fragrances and stand out. It opens up with very strong scent of pepper, leather, and patchouli - this can easily turn rookies away, but let it bloom on your skin and it will bring gorgeous sweet roses and cherries, spiced up and unique. It goes down in a few hours into a warm, flowery scent with just a faint reminder of that first burst of heavy notes. Not your average fragrance, that's for sure - needs a special mood and special outfit (think blacks, leather, lace, heels or boots) and a sultry makeup to finish off the look. You'll either love it or hate it, but if you want something new it's definitely worth trying.
