I’ll start this out by saying my hair is healthy, very long, extremely thick and dense and for the very most part straight. I was really looking for an oil when I was suggested to purchase this because the ends of my hair where they’ve endured some rough years need to be slicked into place after drying. I swapped this out for a leave in conditioned concoction that I make with water and my son’s curling butter cream in an empty spray bottle. This did no better than that and I’ll say it did worse. I still had to use an oil on my ends and as others have said here, it’s probably a better leave in conditioner than it is a heat protectant. It also feels weird when I run my fingers through my hair like there’s a residue. My hair looks no different than it normally does, nothing special about this.

Pros: This product made my hair feel very soft, left no whitecast (on dark brown/black hair), dries quickly, and did not weigh my hair down (fine hair), though I did follow the "less is more" warning. Cons: This product does have a fishy smell when it's first applied, but it went away after styling with hot tools. Overall, similar (if not better) results than the Living Proof perfecting spray with a worse smell and a better sprayer/nozzle.

Protects hair & good shine — but, weird smell

I bought this product because I love the K18 oil. This made my hair similarly shiny, but as others have pointed out, it has a weird smell. I didn’t notice the smell in the sample, but it was apparent when I bought the full sized product.

MUST HAVE

After using this I have sent noticeable differences in my hair routine. my hair feels healthier and stronger against the heat!

Sticky and heavy feeling

I love k18 products but this one wasn't for me. Made my hair sticky and heavy on my thin hair.

I would consider this a better leave in conditioner than a heat protectant. If you have really dry hair, you’ll probably like it. I have thick, but fine hair so this weighed it down. Sometimes I’d have a hard time running my hands through my hair after using this. Additionally, the nozzle could be better. Sometimes since the product is on the thicker side, the nozzle spray doesn’t dispense the product easily. running my hands through

Best heat protector and conditioner for hair

I am a big fan of all K18 products and this one did not disappoint. It will smooth your hair, tame frizz, detangle, and protect your hair. I use it before flat ironing my hair and can't imagine my life without it. The bottle is big and will last you for a while. The scent is sweet and floral. This product also added shine to my hair!

Lovely!

I really love this product and kind of wish I didn’t because of the price. But it’s a lovely spray I mainly use it on wet hair but have used it on dry a couple of times and it didn’t go greasy!

C’est devenu un de mes indispensables, surtout quand je n’ai pas le temps de faire d’après shampooing. Mes cheveux sont doux, léger et absolument pas gras. Je le reprendrai sans hésiter.

Absolutely perfect — I religiously use another brand’s humidity dream (wow) ((you know who I’m talking about)) spray in the summers — but it felt weird to be guarding from humidity in the winter, and I made the switch and have loved it. My hair is much healthier with round brush blowouts

Stinks

I can’t get passed the mildew smell. I really wanted to like this but I don’t think I can keep using it. It smells like when you leave your laundry in the washer for weeks. This is a no for me.
