Best for sun-kissed glow

I mix this moisturizing lotion in with a few other skin creams and it provides my skin with a wonderfully subtle, yet luminous glow. I have been purchasing this product for a number of years now. And I will not be stopping anytime soon.

Glow from within!!

Expensive but a little goes a long way! I only use it on the high points of my face where I would normally apply highlighter and either wear it alone on no-makeup days or under my Nars tinted moisturizer. Smells great and the iridescent cream is super pretty. It's not the most hydrating so don't rely on it as your only moisturizer.

Use For a Healthy Glow

I love this Illuminator. I use it on top of moisturizer and under foundation. It gives me a bright, healthy glow. Nice light scent as well.

I signed up specifically to write a review for this product.... if you are going back and forth on this one, BUY IT. I have never used a priming product that has such a visible effect on the way my makeup and skin look. Worth every Penny!

Texas Heat! Perfect mix for beautiful skin!

I have normal/oily in my t-zone. Pretty sensitive skin but not overly, prone to small white heads& red irritation bumps and blackheads. That being said, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this! I personally like a long lasting foundation but most that are, are also very matte. I wanted something that would have some coverage for uneven skin tone, lightweight and would stay in place with a natural skin like look. After looking for so long, I never found it. I have literally used it all. Everyone knows EL double wear is like paint so I experimented. I barely do half a pump of EL while dots of my La Mer Hydrating Illuminator are sitting on different point of my face (not blended in) and also put dots of double wear everywhere. I blended it all in like I’m a putting a moisturizer on (with my finger tips) and the results are absolutely stunning. It looks like Giorgi Armani Luminous silk, without getting oil or slipping around on my face. And it stays ALL DAY LONG! I do set it with Bobbi Brown’s sheer finish pressed powder in my tzone. But let it be and within the first 30 minutes the powder has really adapted to your face and it looks amazing (or just set with a spray). I live in southeast Texas and it’s August, so basically Im actually melting everyday. I can work in our barn with our horses dripping in sweat and my skin looks amazing! I can’t recommend this enough! I literally would be heartbroken if this is ever discontinued. I’ve been using for about 6 months and have at-least half left.

Parfaite!

J’ai cherché pendant pas mal de temps, une crème illuminatrice qui ne graisse pas la peau, qui ne soit pas trop « Glow » pour ne pas ressembler à une boule à facettes, agréable à l’application... Bref, un peu l’illuminateur sur mesure. Je suis tombée sur celle ci et elle coche toutes les cases! Moi qui ai une peau mixte, elle est parfaite! Elle peut aussi etre melangée au FDT. Pour l’instant,je n’ai pas essayé, j’applique juste une CC créme après et cela est amplement suffisant pour un effet peau nude et lumineuse! De plus, pour un produit La Mer, le prix est plus que raisonnable.

Beautiful and natural looking

I love this stuff! It's beautiful, but not overwhelmingly shiny. It just has a natural-looking shimmer that makes your skin look healthy, while looking like you're wearing anything at all. Most things like this look like they have glitter in them when you put them on. It looks nice on your whole face, but sometimes I just hit my cheeks and t-zone and that looks great too!

Mom's ♥️, & my superfluous blah Effulgent Product

I have been using La Mer products since I was a kid because my late mother went to Holt Renfrew in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, every three months to get her skincare line up. Every so often, she ventured off, and I do recall one year that she had what seemed to be a love affair with Chanel. That year (I believe 98), there was no La Mer, no La Prairie, and no Valmont skincare anywhere (two Swiss-born companies and one Estee Lauder AKA American born) to be found. I have tried to figure that out for several years after her passing, but I have accepted that she wanted the skincare she wanted. Bring me to the poignant case of my anecdotal memories that fade by slowly, more often each passing time I remember them. My mother was spoiled, and so was I. My mother taught me to spend money on the extravagance of life. I did and still do to a point all these years later. Though I can say with certainty, my mother would have loved the product, but what I imagine her saying is, "40 ml and all that is in this tube are run down Miracle Broth. Nope, I'll get a sample and try it with my Crème or foundation." … Her aura was strong, and her love for skincare shaped the way a whole new generation in my family view skincare. My sister buys Tatcha and Olay, my cousin loves Fresh (yes, the Crème Ancienne line) and her brother loves La Prairie. What matters is that even when looking directly at this product, it is not the price or who can and cannot afford to buy it. That only separates us for no reason but fear. If you buy Origins, The Ordinary, Tatcha, Amorepacific, SK-II, Herbivore, etc., do so. Purchase what makes you happy and enjoy it with the people you love—P. s. I do love L'illuminateur Hydrant, though I wish it were more than 40 ml or 41 ml, whichever way you look at the conversation. The last remark on the product is how jaw-dropping it sits on top of the Amorepacific Moisture Face Sunscreen 35SPF or any crème needing an opulent or better-worded pearlescence flair than do it.

I wear La Mer The Revitalizing Hydrating Serum underneath this; I love the natural illuminating glow its gives me. I knocked off a star because it isn’t the most hydrating but I have normal skin so it work for me. I wouldn’t personally wear this without a serum underneath but the glow is visible yet natural so I’ll continue buying this for that reason.

Airbrushed

I have oily skin and it’s hard to find a primer that will last and make my skin looked airbrushed! This primer is pricey but worth it! I was really impressed that 8 hours later my foundation still looked beautiful and in place!

LOVE!

I was very upset when the perfecting treatment was discontinued since I used it as a makeup primer. When this made an appearance I was hopeful this could replace it. While I still miss the perfecting treatment, this is over $100 cheaper and provides a hydrated, dewy base for makeup. I mix this with a dew drops of the renewal oil every AM and it helps with redness and texture.
