Born in Roma Purple Melancholia Donna - Eau de Parfum Pour Femme Chyprée Fruitée

This perfume has a strong sultry and slightly floral scent to it. The packaging is pretty nice with an even misting which I appreciate. The scent lasted all day and I never felt the need to re-apply. I don’t know that it’s an everyday signature scent but it’s definitely good for nights out or special evenings in.

Perfect for Spring/Summer

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] It smells sooo good! It’s perfect for the spring time. It has a nice floral scent with a hint of patchouli or something more earthy. It’s really nice to wear day or night.

It’s long lasting with a little bit going a lone way. And with the classic Valentino bottle it will look amazing being displayed on a counter or vanity. This has made it into the running for my everyday scent.

very disappointed for a Valentino perfume

I have mostly all of the Valentino perfumes and this one was my least favorite. I tried to like it but it smells weird the dry down is better than the initial spray but still. The color is beautiful but that's about it. I returned mine. I was disappointed

Long-lasting

It is sweet but not overpowering. A small spray of this will last all day and linger when I wake up the next morning. It’s perfect for everyday wear or any special occasion.

Sweet Treat!

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This perfume is a projector! The plum accord is the most prominent note in my opinion. It firmly pushes the perfume into the sweet category and stays strong even after drying down. The Osmanthus note is also prominent and mixes nicely with the plum to make a strong but pleasant fruity-floral blend. I don’t really get any vanilla from this iteration of Donna Born in Roma but I still like it nonetheless. I would definitely recommend this for fans of sweet, floral perfumes!

The bottle is so beautiful as all Valentino’s items. But the scent! It’s fresh and adorable. It’s for every season. I can wear it during the day or for date. The way what scents they make looks like evolution. Like projection on some adorable scents. It sprays so easy, so one time is pretty enough. I really love this and would highly recommend! Get this scent and you’ll never regret that!

I absolutely love Purple Melancholia! I have most of the Born In Romas variations and this one did not disappoint!! This also was a blind buy for me.

Not as good as original

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I really wanted to love this as I love the other BIR ones but for me unfortunately this is my least favorite of the bunch. Personally I don’t think it fits in very well with the rest of the flankers. I believe it honestly could have been brought out as a new fragrance rather than a flanker. I’m not sure if it just doesn’t mix well with my chemistry but the plum note comes off extremely medicinal. It is definitely a floral fragrance and I can smell the jasmine predominantly. Projection is fine, I wouldn’t say as well as there original BIR tho. I will say it lasted a significant amount on the skin. With other BIR I normally get about a 3 hour wear time but this one despite being my least favorite has the most longevity.
