My forever favorite

This is the best hair serum I’ve ever used. I bought my second bottle. It makes my hair so soft and shiny and the smell is amazing. It is pricey but so worth it, you don’t need a lot of product for it to work. If you don’t like oil this is for you, it’s so lightweight

Lightweight but scent is just ok

It’s really lightweight and good for my fine straight hair but I don’t really like the scent, it’s too unisex for me. I bought kerastase oil instead since it’s more multipurpose and also lightweight

Amazing for smooth and shiny hair

Got as a sample and was skeptical about using on dry hair. I sectioned my hair right after blow drying and applied a small amount to each section. This stuff is amazing!! It makes my hair so smooth and silky!! I wish it wasn’t so expensive. I might have to buy during a sale.

This stuff smells soooooo good! It gives the best “messy look” the 2nd and 3rd day after hair wash. Not sure how I’ve lived this long without it!

Not worth it

I absolutely LOVE Shu Uemura products, but this is just not it. It is lightweight for 2-3 day hair, but it doesn't really do anything, for me at lest. It does not make my hair more shiny or remove frizz. Plus, it has a strong smell. I used to like this smell, but it is so strong and it lingers on the hair so much I can't stand it anymore. Overall, I would not recommend this product, especially for the price.

Not Impressed

Not sure why this leave-in didn't work for me, considering I use other leave-in serums on my dry, frizzy hair. I have naturally dry and frizzy 2C hair that is also colored and heat processed, so moisture is a must for me. I regularly use leave-in products on dry hair and I was excited to try this leave-in when it was gifted to me, but this just did not deliver. I don't think there was user error because I followed the instructions, but my hair was greasy after using this product, which shocked me because I use very moisturizing products and leave-ins regularly due to my hair type. I saw no improvement in my hair, immediately or over time. This serum definitely left a silicone-like slip to my hair, which did not provide any real moisture, just a product that sat on top of my hair trying to give the illusion of softness, but did not absorb into the strands, hence the greasy feeling. I have been a regular user of the Kerastase overnight leave-in serum with great results. If you had the same issues with this product as I did, or you are looking for a more effective formula, try Kerastase.

The Secret to Silk Hair

This leave-in treatment for damaged hair gave my curls better definition and removed some of its' dullness. It absolutely elimates frizz but doesn't leave my hair greasy or tacky. Hair looks and feels silky. The scent is stronger when first applied, it fades some but not entirely once hair is dry. It smells and feels like a luxe product, but it is a strong enough scent that it could be a conflict with wearing perfume.
