Ambient Lighting Edit Brush - Pinceau visage

Ugh! I really wanted to love this brush but I will be returning it. I love most products that hourglass makes, so I’m a bit disappointed in it. Definitely a beautiful design, but does not blend well.

I’m seeing a lot of negative reviews for the dragon and evil eye brushes, but I really love my dragon one. The design is gorgeous and the bristles are quality! It’s true that it lacks weight. The brushes work well with the accompanying palettes.

Cool pattern, useless brush.

Save your money. Bristles have no splay or bounce so does not spread or blend well and makes the size of each brush head not useful. Whole thing feels cheap. My first and last hourglass brush purchase. Returning.

Cheap and Flimsy

I usually love Hourglass brushes. They’re mostly all I own. I was so excited for this because of the beautiful design, but the quality feels cheap and flimsy. I’m so disappointed considering the price. Don’t waste your money.

I love this! It's easy to use, easy to store in your makeup bag and when you go out to dinner.

I will have to agree with all of the other negative reviews. I wanted the brush to pair with my new palette that goes with it, but it is cheap by the touch. Not something I typically expect with hourglass. Disappointing 🥲

Don’t waste your money

Meh. It’s pretty but cheap feeling. No weight to it at all. The bristles are nice tho and I like the overall performance of the brush but I definitely was expecting to be blown away by this brush becuz of the higher price point. I definitely think you can get a just as good brush for ALOT cheaper.

Not as dense as expected from Hourglass but does the job. I got the dragon to match my compact.

Feels Cheap

Don’t waste your money on this brush! It’s very very cheap feeling, no weight to it. Not typical hourglass quality.

Could be better quality

Love hourglass brushes these are not as heavy as the other ones the brush is amazing but the casing is a little cheap in my opinion it isn’t worth the money I only bought to match the pallette I do like the double applicator

The bristles themselves are soft and fine. Like some of the other reviews have said, this brush in general feels cheap (and not eco-fiendly). The art is nice but I'd rather just buy the palette version of it. Not worth the money.

Know what you’re buying

These are getting a lot of negative reviews because they are more expensive than the non-limited-edition version of this brush but are cheaper and lower quality, as the handle parts of these brushes seem to be made of plastic and are quite lightweight, whereas the regular non-limited ambient brush appears to be made of metal and has a nice weight to it in the hand. I don’t disagree with these reviewers necessarily, but as a person who owns both, and who loves hourglass brushes generally, this limited edition version of the brush works just as well as the regular version and the bristles feel just as luxurious. If you love the design of these brushes, and you want an ambient lighting edit brush, and you have the money to spend, I say go for it! Definitely frivolous and unnecessary, but I don’t think the 1 star average these currently have is reflective of the actual experience of owning this brush. I like mine and I imagine I’ll be using and liking it for a long time.
