Skip this one..headache

I love kayali scents but this has to be the worst one. It definitely leans masculine and not unisex. I get a huge headache every time I spray this. I also got silk santal which is much better. Silk santal is a safe blind buy. This one is not

Didn’t work for my husband’s skin

I plan to wear the Silk Santal for my upcoming wedding, so I ordered the mini Velvet Santal for my soon-to-be husband (so we could match). Unfortunately it just didn’t work with his skin chemistry and dried down to a weird wet towel smell. oh well!

Lovely scent

Lovely smell, i just wish it projected better and that could last longer on my skin.

I like it however I think this is a fall winter fragrance as well

So good in every way!

After I gave this a solid wear test, I have fallen very much in love! It’s soft, cozy, warm - yes it’s unisex but not definitely not masculine leaning at all. I actually like this one better than silk santal. Layered with the delizia marshmallow DNA sweetens it even more and it’s YUM! Highly recommend! My one suggestion for anyone on the fence- do not listen to the reviews saying to “absolutely do not buy this.” If you’re fragranced obsessed, a genuine lover & enjoyer of perfume, you’d understand that scent is *subjective*… we won’t all like the same thing - and that’s okay! Skin ph also plays a role. Had I allowed negative reviews to influence my purchase, I never would have added this gem to my collection. Love love love.

Nostalgic and storytelling

I like this a lot. It reminds me how my grandpa used to smell - he was a writer and he always smelled of books, sweet and woody cologne and a hair product. I know this sounds weird but it is so nice. I think it is definitely genderless fragrance but pulls more masculine. I love layering this with some of my sweeter sandalwood/vanilla based frags. It’s lovely with the 7 virtues Santal vanilla or KAYALI silk Santal.i will Wear this more in autumn and winter I think.

I wanted to love it. I bought it without smelling it first. I keep trying it but the only way to describe it is it smells a little peppery or like patchouli musky. Don’t love it at all.
