not a “fun” mask but it works!

This product works for me. I’m in my 40s and have dry skin but am still acne-prone, so I worried about the thick, sticky consistency. But I’ve used this as an overnight mask 4-5 times and have had no breakouts. It’s been described as “like Vaseline,” and I agree, but there are no petroleum products so the people saying they “smell the Vaseline” are mistaken. That said, this is not a fun, pampering experience. It’s thick and goopy and smells strongly of organic matter. But I wake up with smooth, glowy, moisturized skin (which NEVER happens in winter). Definitely worth the sale price!

I have used Sephora since high school and this is my first time leaving a review, but I just had to leave one since this has really transformed my skin! I have been having really bad breakouts due to wearing masks every day. I tried this out as it was on sale and was worried since the review said it was like vaseline ( so thought it might be pore-clogging) but i had worried for no reason. Leave jt on overnight and it does winders for your skin. my skin instsntly glows in the morning and my breakouts were gone! Highly recommend this!

I absolutely love this ridiculously thick Vaseline like jar of magic. Hear me out though. I have normal skin with acne scars (mostly hyperpigmentation) but I'm still quite acne prone. I use this once a week and it's a great chemical exfoliate. You have to rub a bit in your hands to warm it up before it's easy to rub on your face. But I'll admit - it's thick and goopy and if was taking forever to finish so I put some on a small callus and well, it slothed it right off. So then I put some on my elbows and my very persistent KP resolved in a few days. THEN I got really creative and put some on my thighs/bottom (I'll occasionally get some bumps from shaving) and this is where the real magic happened. My backside was so smooth and soft and it worked above and beyond what any of the higher end cellulite creams I've bought from Sephora have done. I really use this as an all purpose chemical exfoliator for me and I'll never use anything else. Give it a chance if you can spare the extra dollars!

A lot of product for what you pay

This mask is unlike any mask I’ve ever used! It has a very waxy consistency and is a bit sticky but it’s very easy to remove which I appreciate. I have struggled with hyperpigmentation my whole life and unfortunately I can not use vitamin c as it breaks me out. I stumbled across this product by accident but I’ve been pleasantly surprised ever since! It helps to brighten my skin and it’s not drying at all! It can leave a bit of a film because it is such a waxy consistency but if you put a moisturizer on top it goes away instantly. A little goes a long way and you get ample product for what you pay. Even using this on a regular basis, it’ll last you well over a year! I also enjoy that this is not a 5 minute mask. I never understand how you can notice any difference from a 5-10 minute mask. I usually use this for 45-60 minutes and the next morning I can always tell my face is brighter and my dark spots have lightened as well! This product alone won’t get rid of all of your pigmentation but I enjoy using this in conjunction with my retinol as this is not a drying product in the slightest. If you already use vitamin c in your skincare routine, I am not sure this mask will make a big enough difference for you but for my needs this mask is perfect!

I used this as a mask for a half an hour as directed and didn’t see any results. Then I read that you can use this as an overnight mask and that made all the difference in the world. I use it as my last step at night as a sleeping mask and my skin is so completely hydrated and glowing when I wake up the next morning it is truly incredible. A tiny bit goes a very long way so this will last absolutely forever. I am extremely used to acid so this did not cause any irritation whatsoever. This would not be good as an overnight mask for people with sensitive skin. I am almost 39, have normal skin, I am extraordinarily acne prone and this has not broken me out at all. Quite the opposite. I would recommend this for people with mature skin who are looking for a boost of moisture and the locking in of moisture overnight. It does not clog the pores in any way. I would not recommend this for younger skins who are extremely oily.

Vaseline Mask

Didn’t really get the hype for this mask. I have combination skin. It just felt like I put Vaseline on my face. The smell of Vaseline was very prominent. It does have a heating element to it when you apply it which was nice but only lasted seconds. Didn’t really see a big difference in my face. I saw more glow with enzyme peels. It’s too expensive for the results I got. Will not be repurchasing.

soft hydrated skin!!

Loved this mask. I have sensitive skin and this made my skin glow and feel so smooth. Felt like a vaseline mask but happy with the results.

amazing mask

I have very dry skin ( a little sensitive ) so i never use any mask with acid previously, but i found this mask is so perfect for dry skin to remove all the dead cells, it made my skin looks radiant after one use when i get up in the morning , my skin looks like a baby skin, very soft and clean, extremely bright. it completely removed dullness...

This mask is amazing. I highly recommend this mask if you are into glowing skin.

This mask is really good for when I have dry flakey skin, and unlike my other masks with glycolic acid (Algenist Bi-Phase, Glow Recipe Watermelon) I don't have to wait overnight for the results. I wasn't sure how effective this mask would be at exfoliating, because it's made up of a ton of different oils and glycolic acid, but there is definitely enough acid in there to do it's job. The consistency is like a really thick balm, and not creamy like the pic. It comes with a little spatula and you will definitely need it, it's that thick. Once you rub it between you fingers and apply it to your face it will turn into an oil. The first time I used it, while I was rinsing I was afraid it was going to leave my skin greasy because it felt like I was rinsing for ever and my skin still felt slick. Once I patted my skin dry though, it was just nice and soft, not oily/greasy at all and all my flakes were gone. It does feel a touch warm went it's on, but it's nothing to be alarmed about. I have yet to use any glycolic mask that feels like absolutely nothing. It also has a really earthy scent, I'm assuming it's the cannabis sativa oil that's in it. I haven't used it overnight, just for 30 min. and then I rinse it off.
