This cream starts with thick and wax like texture. When this warms down between fingertips it melts into a more spreadable, silky balm easy to apply. On skin it feels deeply nourishing and leaves a buttery and very hydrating texture. It has a powdery and floral scent. It is not noticeable i:e fragrance- free which is very good. Its daytime usage can be heavy in warm weather. If used in morning small amount is enough. Its night time usage is more preferable since its rich texture locks hydration while asleep. Night application usually works best after serums/treatments like this product. This has long lasting hydration that keeps skin supple throughout the day without feeling weighted down. This can be best suited for very dry or dehydrated skin, normal skin in harsh climate or winter months and mature skin which could help soften the look of fine lines. This helps to balance sebum levels which reduce mid-day shine and keep makeup looking better longer (if makeup applied). This gives lightweight yet nourishing feel like high end skincare. It is cool, light and comfortable specially with humid climate. The results are best seen on consistent use. Overall, this can be highly recommended product for many skin types. It was a tiny sample so I was able to use it for about a week. In that time I loved how it moisturized my skin. It went on smooth and was easy to apply. It lasted nicely throughout the day after a quick absorption. No weird scent or residue. A good option.

I was super excited to try this brand because I've always heard really good things. I do like the texture, and I find it absorbs easily into the skin. I will be honest, though, I really, really don't like the fragrance. I don't know what it smells like, but I do know I don't like it and that it's pretty cloying. good cream but weird smell

I received this product for free from La Mer for testing and review purposes. I had never tried La Mer before but had heard great things. Upon trying this face moisturizer, I do believe that the face moisturizer is a great job at keeping your skin super soft. The one critique that I have is that the smell of the product is not great.
