Spiced, warm vanilla perfect for fall

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I love this perfume! I’m usually a citrus or fresh perfume person, but this spiced vanilla is a great, warm alternative perfect for fall. The bottle looks great on a dresser or counter. You don’t need to spray too much, and one spray lasted the entire work day on my clothes. This should last me a long time, and I would purchase this again. It’s not a sickly-sweet vanilla, so I don’t see myself getting tired of this.

Definitely powdery , vanilla,warm and spicy

I received this product in exchange for my honest review. This perfume definitely has a powdery floral scent. It's composed up of bergamot, iris, and vanilla. I can definitely smell the powder in this perfume, the vanilla, and a touch of bergamot. Personally, this perfume just wasn't for me; it reminds me of older people's scents, like an old-fashioned powdery vanilla perfume made for women aged 50 and up. I don't hate or love this perfume, but I just wouldn't buy a scent like this for such price. Also, when you read the description about it being inspired by an Indian emperor's love, the scent and the bottle transmit that perfectly, being a spicy, powdery, and warm scent. I can't deny the bottle looks so luxurious and beautiful. The cap is my favorite; it reminds me of the caps emperors would wear—it's just so cute.

Just ok

Absolutely beautiful bottle! The colors the look and style was stellar. The scent was just ok for me though. It had a lasting smell which is nice but just wish I piked the subtle musky scent that lingered. Sweet and musky mix and normally I like the musky scent but this one just didn’t hit right. Still a nice smell overall and would say a more formal than day to day smell

Modern update of a classic

I received this product free from Guerlain and Influenster in exchange for my honest review. This perfume is a very wearable variation on a classic. I already own a small bottle of Shalimar eau de toilette, which I would describe as dry, powdery, spicy and a bit exotic. In this new version, "intense" seems to refer to the addition of a large amount of vanilla, which actually softens the other bold notes in the perfume. The vanilla is sweet, warm and cozy, like wearing a soft sweater. I would say the original Shalimar is more unique and distinctive, but l'Essence might be a welcome update to those who find it harsh or old-fashioned. It really is up to personal preference. I definitely like this newest design of the packaging. The footed bottle is a beautiful mix of amber, blue and gold, the staggered lettering is joyful and whimsical, and the black ribbon on the neck reminds me of a Degas ballerina. Very pretty all around.

Instant favorite

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This was love at first spritz! The bottle itself is so beautiful and honestly such a work of art! The fragrances notes are stunning. The blend of vanilla and the florals such as iris and rose along with an amber base really makes for a luxurious and intense scent without being too overwhelming. It has good projection and you won’t have to reapply too often. It’s bold, feminine, sexy and strong. Absolutely perfect for a night out!

Beautiful, professional vanilla

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Shalimar L’Essence starts off pretty strong but you immediately get the vanilla right away and it stays throughout the initial spray until the dry down. I feel like it’s more resinous in the beginning but then dries down powdery. It’s a pretty intimate scent. I find it lingers longer on clothes vs skin. Honestly, you don’t need to overspray unless you really want to project but my husband can smell it on me and that was with only a spray each on my wrists. Overall, I really love this scent. It’s definitely a more upscale vanilla for any event. I can see it being worn in formal and casual settings.

Deep vanilla notes in a beautiful bottle

This deeply vanilla fragrance offers a complex and long lasting scent to your day. It feels like it's perfect for winter. But, could easily become your signature fragrance. The bottle is absolutely gorgeous and would make this an incredibly thoughtful gift. It looks beautiful on display but even more so when the sun hits the bottle just right. This is definitely a splurge but it is a worthy one that you deserve. 10/10

It has great notes of amber & vanilla. The bottle is beautiful as well, very sophisticated. It's lasts throughout the day with no reapplication.

Lingers all day delightful vanilla and musk

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Out of the package this is a very exquisite looking perfume. Heavy in the hand it feels solid. The perfume itself lasts all day long. One spray is all you will need as it is quiet strong. This is a heavy scent, best for evening wear but sprayed in the morning it will remain with you all day long. I sprayed directly on my skin but it transferred to clothing and held strong. Strong notes of vanilla and on the muskier side are the highlights for me.
