Like any other cleansing balm, it was good and all but very normal

It's very smooth, actually removes make-up and leaves the skin soft and not dry.

Not the worst cleansing balm but compared to Tatcha’s indigo cleansing balm, Farmacy’s green cleansing balm and Drunk Elephant’s Slaai, I felt that you needed to use a lot of product to get makeup off. Smells nice but I do recommend alternatives

Lovely product

I love this cleansing balm, always gets my make up off, doesnt cause any itritation or breakouts even though my skin is sensitive, and it has a lovely, subtle smell. The only downside is the glass container which makes it heavy and difficult to travel with!

It melts away the days grim off my face.

Absolutely love this product!! Gets rid of most stubborn make up; sometime I have some stubborn mascara remaining. It melts away the day’s grim off my face.

Great product but…

If you love Glow Recipe, look no further! This product does what it claims. It removes makeup/sunscreen and leaves the skin smooth for the second cleanse. My issues: the emulsification is chunky, it will break down but chunks might be between your fingers. Jeffree Star has a better formula, but Glow Recipe is the bang for your buck!

The texture is different to other cleansing balms!

I lovee the texture of this cleansing balm. It truly is sorbet like and feels nice on the skin. However, apart from this it is just your average cleansing balm. I will say it doesn't burn your eyes or make them cloudy. I definitely would repurchase if it was maybe on sale but I dont think its worth the price.

Burns and does not clean skin

Does not work well. I couldn’t tell if it was dissolving my makeup and sunscreen. It emulsifies, but it left an obvious film on my skin and I could feel the product burn my delicate eye area after a few seconds. This product does not need enzymes or any sort of exfoliant that is in it. It’s only sold purpose should be to clean your face and break up any products on your face without leaving you dry —and this balm does not even do this. After my shower my whole face burned from this product. It’s not good for sensitive or dry skin.

Packaging is dangerous

The product itself is OK. As a Step 1 to your cleansing routine, its very soft and moisturizing. But I absolutely cannot recommend this product due to its packaging- the container is made of glass and as a product that typically lives in the bathroom and is part of the shower routine, a glass container is dangerous. I was using this product at the sink and dropped the jar which shattered the rim. While I was able to pick away the large pieces of broken glass, I couldn't get all of the tiny shards that fell into the actual product- the next time I tried to use the product, tiny shards of glass cut into my fingers. Ultimately, its not Glow Recipes fault that I dropped the jar, but it is their responsibility to make sure they create a product that is safe for its intended environment. Skip this, get the Clinique balm instead

Not the best cleansing balm

I had really high hopes for this product based on the reviews. I have been using it for the past week or so and so far I am very disappointed. The product does not remove make up and sunscreen as described. Every time I used I am left with a white residue that takes forever to be rinsed
