Did not expect this product

I have tried 7 different mineral and chemical sunscreens this year and they’ve all broken me out. I bought Lean after debating for months if I wanted to risk my money on yet another sunscreen which had the potential to break me out after I spent weeks healing the cystic like breakouts a different brand left me with. LEAN is the first one that I’ve loved and have had ZERO issues with breakouts, pilling, and oiliness. Although I was concerned with the reviews about it having a tint, I didn’t find any tint (I’ve got olive undertones but think it would be fine for pink undertones), it melts perfectly into my skin and gives it a nice glow (not mattifying like the title). I warm it up slightly on my fingers because it is thicker than a traditional chemical sunscreen and spread it in sections. I cannot recommend this product more to anyone who asks! It has no fragrance which is perfect for sensitive skin and does not pill (like other mineral sunscreens do) when I reapply every 2 hours. Will be repurchasing when finished for sure!

Lean Screen is great for sensitive skin

I'm allergic to chemical sunscreen and have tried so many zinc based screens but this would be the best one I've used. It feels so nice on my skin and not greasy at all. I wore it for an ultramarathon on the weekend and it lasted very well.

Worked for my sensitive-acne-prone combo skin

I've been using this sunscreen for well over a year and love it! I was struggling to find a foundation that didnt break me out or cause irritation and I was SO happy when I found this brand. I've never had a problem with this product and it doesn't cause me breakouts and I feel like it actually helps keep my combo oil skin at bay. I get way oilier without it.. The one thing I noticed in the reviews was the packaging and I only noticed the issue on my first tube and only once I got to the very end of the product and since then I have had no issues, my tube is mostly always laying down so I wonder if this could help? I love love love this product and will continue to use it for as long as its sold! I couldnt recommend it more if you struggle with breakouts. Ive struggled with Titanium Dioxide (causes irritation/breakouts for me) in many products in the past and find it incredibly hard to find products especially sunscreen without this ingredient. this particular product doesn't contain TD and I think this could pay a major part in why it works so well for me.

Love the formular! It doesn’t clog pores or irritate my skin, HOWEVER it does turn orange after a couple hours of wear. Disappointing :(

Pills horribly

I can deal with the thickness as expected from a mineral sunscreen but it pills so much! I have tried it on its own without my usual skincare routine and it still pills horribly. Very dissatisfied with this product, I cannot even use it up on my neck as it is tinted. Do not recommend.

Amazing sunscreen but new packaging is a let-down.

I love this sunscreen, it feels great on my dry skin and it looks great. I have been using it for a couple of years but I HATE the new packaging, to the point I am considering finding a new sunscreen. The pump top was a lot better, when it would get an air block I'd just open it, gently squeeze the air out until I saw product and put the pump back on. Now you don't know when the air blocks are coming and since it is so thick, sunscreen explodes everywhere.

The only review that matters

The consistency is on the thicker end? Yes. Do you need to apply 10 layers of skincare before applying this? No. Should you? No. Does this product stain clothing? Yes, duh. Should you be careful about applying "mineral" sunscreens in any case, esp. around clothing? Yes. I apply this product on my dried skin, so naturally, it's not going to pill. This formula leaves a beautiful matt-like glow which carries into the night and can double up as a foundation if you want a natural look. It makes your skin look stunning in all types of light, especially at sunset, and especially when you come out of the water (sea or pool). People need to use common sense before purchasing this product and then leaving a bad review. THE ONLY issue I have with this product is the packaging, old and new. It still leaves some product inside (which stings a bit considering the price point), which means I will need to cut the packaging open to scoop the product out. Perhaps there is a way to package it like a cream which you can scoop out with your finger or scooper of some sort? Not sure if other stabilisers/preservatives would then need to be considered? Either way, the formula for this product is PHENOMENAL, and there is not a better "mineral" sunscreen in any market.
